Dr. Alex Bondarenko

FMS Certified

Gray Institute Movement Principles

Dr. Alexander (“Alex”) Bondarenko is a dedicated to his craft of being physical therapist and movement expert who is passionate about helping active adults and athletes get out of pain and move better —
pain free — so they can thrive in the things they love. At his core, Alex prioritizes building strong rapport with every person he works with and tailoring care to each individual’s goals, challenges, and lifestyle.

Alex earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from California State University, Northridge and completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Clarkson University. He is a lifelong learner constantly
seeking the most effective, evidence-based methods to enhance movement and integrate them into his ever-evolving clinical toolkit. His advanced training includes certifications in LSVT BIG for optimizing
movement in individuals with Parkinson’s disease, Functional Movement Systems (FMS), Gray Institute movement principles. Alex approaches care with a dynamic systems approach taking into account the individual, the
environment and individual goals as part of his method to improving performance and injury adaptation. Challenging his clients within their current athletic capacity and emphasizing the integrated movement
of the whole kinetic chain rather than isolated areas. This means you’ll work on movement quality, strength, and resilience — not just symptom relief.

Outside the clinic, Alex’s background in martial arts deeply shapes his philosophy. He has trained since his teens and holds instructor ranks in traditional karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Filipino martial arts. He’s
taught martial arts for over a decade and continues his journey as both a martial artist and physical therapist — bringing the principles of control, efficiency, and adaptability into every rehab and performance plan. When you work with Dr. Bondarenko, expect thoughtful, evidence-driven care, movement-based problem solving, and a collaborative partner in your journey to feel stronger, move better, and live pain-free — all with a personalized plan that focuses on your goals, not just your symptoms.
